Growing Tips for New Zealand
Sow Zinnia Profusion Orange in spring once the risk of frost has passed, either direct where it is to flower or in small pots to transplant. Sow seeds 6mm deep in well-drained seed-raising mix and keep warm at 21–26°C — seeds germinate quickly in 5–7 days in warm conditions. Transplant or thin to 20–25cm apart in a sunny position with well-drained soil. Profusion Orange thrives in heat and full sun and is an excellent choice for warm NZ summers. Water at the base rather than overhead to keep foliage dry. No deadheading is needed — the plant is self-cleaning and will flower continuously without any intervention. Perfect for borders, containers, and garden edges throughout NZ.
