Growing Tips for New Zealand
Sow seeds directly into well-drained soil in a sunny position in autumn or early spring. Ammi prefers cool growing conditions and will bolt in summer heat, so autumn sowing gives the best results across most NZ regions. Scatter seeds thinly and rake lightly — they need some light to germinate. Thin seedlings to 20–30 cm apart. Stake in exposed positions as stems can be top-heavy when in full bloom.
