Growing Tips for New Zealand
Sow seeds in late summer to early autumn (FebruaryβApril) into seed-raising mix, then transplant seedlings to a sunny, sheltered spot with fertile, well-drained soil once they reach 10β15 cm. Space plants 45β60 cm apart. Water regularly and feed with a balanced fertiliser through autumn. Harvest florets when tight and firm, cutting the central head first to encourage side shoots. Stake taller plants in exposed positions.
