Growing Tips

Sow into trays first — my preferred method for the best results. Sprinkle seeds on the surface and press gently — don't cover, they need light to germinate. Keep moist until seedlings appear, then transplant with care. They can also be direct sown straight into well-drained soil. Space to 20–30cm apart once established. Sow now through autumn (April–June) for beautiful spring blooms.

Top tip: Poppies self-seed freely, so once you grow them, they'll keep coming back year after year! 🙌
