A Compact Cauliflower Built for NZ Gardens

Mini Cauliflower Igloo (Brassica oleracea) is a charming, compact cauliflower variety that produces beautifully dense, pure white heads — perfectly sized for small gardens, raised beds, and everyday cooking. No need to wrestle with a giant cauliflower when Igloo delivers just the right amount, fresh from your own garden.

Why Gardeners Love It

  • ❄️ Compact mini heads — perfect size for a single meal, no waste
  • 🥦 Dense, pure white curds — beautiful and delicious
  • 🌱 Ideal for small gardens and raised beds — takes up less space than standard varieties
  • 🌿 Hardy and reliable — a great performer in NZ conditions
  • 🍽️ Versatile in the kitchen — roast whole, steam, or use in soups and salads

Growing Tips for New Zealand

Sow seeds in late summer to early autumn (February–April) into seed-raising mix, then transplant seedlings to a sunny, sheltered spot with fertile, well-drained soil once they reach 10–15 cm tall. Space plants 40–50 cm apart. Water regularly and feed with a balanced fertiliser through the growing season. Tie outer leaves over the developing head to keep curds white and protected from frost. Harvest when heads are firm and tight.

💡 Grower's tip: Want bigger heads? Simply plant further apart — spacing plants 60–70 cm apart encourages larger, fuller cauliflowers.
