Coreopsis Grandiflora Seeds
Sunshine in the Garden, All Summer Long
Coreopsis grandiflora, commonly known as Large-flowered Tickseed, is a cheerful and reliable perennial that blooms with an abundance of bright golden-yellow daisy-like flowers from early summer right through to autumn. Easy to grow once germinated and wonderfully low-maintenance, it forms neat, bushy clumps smothered in vivid blooms that bring a warm, sunny glow to borders, cottage gardens, and cutting patches alike. A favourite with bees and butterflies, and one of the longest-flowering plants you can grow from seed.

Growing Tips for New Zealand
Sow seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost, or direct sow in spring once soil has warmed. Press seeds lightly onto the surface of moist seed-raising mix — they need light to germinate, so do not cover. Transplant seedlings to 30–40 cm apart in a sunny position with well-drained soil. Coreopsis is drought tolerant once established and thrives in poor to average soils — avoid overfeeding which encourages foliage at the expense of flowers. Deadhead regularly to extend flowering. Performs beautifully throughout NZ in any sunny, open position.
