Growing Tips for New Zealand
Sow in autumn or early spring. Seeds benefit from a period of cold stratification — refrigerate damp seeds for 4 weeks before sowing to improve germination. Eryngium prefers a sunny position with well-drained, even poor soil. Avoid overwatering and heavy clay soils. Plants flower from their second year. Excellent for Canterbury, Hawke's Bay, Nelson, and other drier NZ regions.
