Growing Tips for New Zealand
Direct sow seeds 5 mm deep into loose, free-draining, stone-free soil in a sunny spot. Sow from spring through to early autumn (SeptemberβMarch) for a long harvest season. Thin seedlings to 5β10 cm apart once established. Keep soil consistently moist, especially during germination. Avoid freshly manured soil as it can cause forked roots. Harvest when shoulders are visible at the soil surface β usually 70β80 days from sowing.
