Growing Tips for New Zealand
Direct sow in autumn or spring into a sunny, well-drained position. Echium thrives in poor to average soil and dislikes being transplanted, so sow where it is to grow. Thin seedlings to 20–30 cm apart. Excellent for coastal and dry NZ gardens, including Canterbury, Hawke's Bay, Nelson, and Marlborough, Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty
